Meet the Professionals…

We are Anneka Rains and AJ Hammack, a couple living in West Seattle with our two sweet kitties Duckie and Moose!

We wanted to create a pet sitting company whose level of care reflected our passion for animals. Our level of detail, communication, and reliability has proven to assure even the most anxious of pet owners.

Anneka began dog walking and cat sitting professionally in her hometown of Austin, Texas in 2017. When she moved to Seattle a year later, she continued working in the industry, primarily walking anxious and dog-reactive dogs for another local pet care company. In April 2022, Anneka decided to start her own company (then called Rains in Seattle, LLC) and found near-instant success! After years of tagging along on walks and overnights, AJ, Washington born and raised, officially joined the team in September 2023 and has been loving it ever since!

We are both well-versed in handling all breeds, sizes, ages, and demeanors (including anxieties and dog reactivities) of dogs and cats and we hope to meet yours soon!
